Every great garden is built in six layers

Landscaping isn't a shopping list — it's an order of operations.

1Stage 1Below ground

Groundwork, levelling & compaction

Before anything beautiful goes down, the ground has to be right. We excavate to level, clear construction debris, import clean fill and compact it in layers — with falls set so water runs away from your villa, not toward it.

Irrigation & water supply

In this climate, irrigation is the difference between a garden and an expensive mistake. Zone by zone — drip lines for beds and planters, pop-ups for lawn — with a programmable controller, pressure regulation and a moisture sensor.

Surfaces: paving, decking & grass

The layer that decides how the garden is actually used. Hard paving where you park chairs and walk, warm timber decking where you lounge, grass where children and pets play. Natural turf for the feel, or premium artificial for zero watering.

Planting & planter boxes

Structure gives a garden its shape; planting gives it life. Rendered or timber-capped planters frame the edges and create privacy, filled with species that actually thrive here — bougainvillea, ficus, frangipani, ixora, ornamental grasses.

Pool, gazebo, fountain & BBQ

The reason you'll actually spend time out there. A pool to cool off, a shaded gazebo for the eight months you can sit outside, a water feature to soften traffic noise, a built-in BBQ so entertaining doesn't mean carrying everything back and forth.

Lighting & atmosphere

In the UAE your garden is used mostly after sunset — so lighting isn't decoration, it's what doubles the hours you get out of the space. Wall washers for depth, recessed floor lights for safe paths, spotlights up into palms. All low-voltage and IP-rated.

We needed it by Eid, so they phased it. Both phases on time and the price never moved once.

Before you ask

The questions we get every week

What does landscaping actually cost in the UAE?

Landscaping costs in the UAE typically start from AED 25,000 for a standard 6x5 m garden. Pricing varies by service: a customized gazebo installation starts from AED 690 per square meter, grass carpet laying starts from AED 19 per square meter, and ground compacting starts from AED 25 per square meter.

How long does it take from signing to handover?

Three to six weeks of build time for a standard villa garden, plus roughly a week for design and quoting before that. Add two to three weeks if a pool is included, and allow for developer NOC or municipality approval time in some communities — we handle those applications for you.

Do I need permission from my developer or the municipality?

Usually yes for anything structural — pools, pergolas, boundary changes and major electrical work. Most communities (Emaar, Nakheel, Damac and similar) require an NOC before work starts. We prepare and submit the drawings and paperwork as part of the project; it's included, not an extra.

Natural grass or artificial — which is right for a UAE garden?

Natural turf (Paspalum or Bermuda) feels and smells better and stays cooler underfoot, but it needs daily summer irrigation, monthly feeding and regular mowing, and it will thin in deep shade. Premium artificial turf stays green year-round with almost no cost or effort, but it gets hot in direct afternoon sun. Most of our clients do both — natural in the shaded play area, artificial on the sun-baked side and around the pool.

What will this do to my water bill?

Less than people expect, if the irrigation is designed properly. Drip lines to beds and planters instead of sprays, correct zoning so shaded areas aren't watered like sunny ones, a moisture sensor, and scheduling before sunrise typically cuts garden water use by 30–50% versus a badly set-up system. We'll show you the projected consumption with your quote.

Can I do it in phases?

Yes, and often you should. The rule is that everything below ground — compaction, irrigation, drainage, and the conduits and plumbing for a future pool, BBQ or lighting — goes in during phase one, even if the feature itself comes later. That way phase two never means breaking up finished work.

What exactly is covered by the 6 months free maintenance?

Scheduled visits covering mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, fertilising, pest treatment, irrigation checks and seasonal reprogramming, plus lighting timer adjustments. Any plant that fails in that window is replaced at no charge. It applies to full landscaping projects and starts from the handover date. After six months you can continue on a paid plan or stop — no lock-in.

Do you work with an existing garden, or only from scratch?

Both. Renovations are roughly half our work: stripping out failed grass and cracked paving, replacing or repairing irrigation, and rebuilding the surfaces and planting. We'll tell you honestly at the site visit what can be kept and what is cheaper to redo than to repair.
